This exhibition is not (just) about reformation. Nor is it about glorification, especially at this point in our lives when we are still struggling for democracy. Rather, this exhibition was initiated to be a space that brings together various memories of a moment that has changed many things in the lives of individuals and us as citizens of a nation. We want to talk about the markers of a tipping point, how an event with such a grand narrative changed our lives as collective citizens and as individuals, in public and domestic spheres.

“Remembering 25 Years of Reformation” exhibition involves 33 artists across generations that have direct and non-direct experiences of the Reformation. The exhibition will take place in five art spaces: Kedai Kebun Forum, Ruang MES56, LAV Gallery, KRACK! and Cemeti Institute for Art and Society.
