Serbuk Kayu is an art community that not only focuses on fine art but more on all aspects of art, but the purpose of the movement made by Serbuk Kayu is to distribute art as knowledge, the meaning is, that art can be interpreted better, into something that can be studied because therms of creative works not only contemplative, imaginative, or just rely on the talent of the perpetrator. But what Serbuk Kayu expects is the art of being something readable, and learned, which aims to create further advances in the artistry itself.
In constructing artworks, the artist sure have a unique method to use, it has a different distribution pattern, between one artist and another artist. This is also the case in Serbuk Kayu as an art community, which is a description of the diversity to be discussed, and is interpreted in the exhibition carried out by Serbuk Kayu.
In achieving the desired goal to distribute art as knowledge of each member in the Serbuk Kayu also has a variety of ways of working, not the same from one to another. Each member has their respective strengths in his work, in which the things that underlie the work become strong can be accounted for conceptually. this is the second reason why using diversity themes.
To transmit knowledge to the appreciator through participatory work is the selected visual form of Serbuk Kayu to convey the purpose in this exhibition. The background is the unhealthy work patterns, which occur in the art scene where Wood Powder is processed.
